What is an ISO image file?
An ISO image is an archive file (also known as a disc image) of an optical disc in a format defined by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). This format is supported by many software vendors. ISO image files typically have a file extension of .iso
In this article you will learn how to create an ISO image using a software called Magic ISO. Click here to download Magic ISO Trail Version
Making ISO file from CD/DVD Drive
Follow these steps:
1) First download and install Magic ISO on your computer and then open it.
2) Go to Tools –> Make ISO from CD/DVD ROM. This will open a little window like this
3) The source is your CD/DVD Drive. Select the Output file location (where your ISO file will get saved) and then in Output format change .UIF to .ISO. Then click on “OK”. Now it will start to create an ISO image. If you didn’t change to ISO file then you will get an .UIF file, this file is similar to ISO.
You have to wait until the progress bar reaches 100%.
Making ISO from Files/Folders
1) Right click on the windows explorer and select Add files and import the files that you want to include in the ISO file.
2 ) After importing all the required files go to File –> Save. Then select the location where you want to save the file and then make sure that the output format is .ISO and then click Save. That’s it. You will get an ISO file of the files/folders that you imported.
