You may have read “6 Tips To Organize Time For Blogging” article. There I mentioned about automating certain work like sharing links of new blog posts in social media to save your time.

I didn’t specify how you can automate it. So, this article is going to be about how you can automate link sharing in social media. So, you need not worry or spend time sharing links every time when you publish a new article in your blog.

Here are some very simple ideas that can be used to automate link sharing on some popular social media like – facebook, twitter,  and tumblr.

1) Automating Link Sharing On Twitter Using Feedburner

You can link your feedburner account with your twitter account, so that twitter will detect the new posts automatically by reading your RSS and tweet the URL of that new post on twitter.

To Link RSS with Twitter:

  1. Go to your feedburner account
  2. Go to Publicize Menu
  3. Select Socialize from left sidebar
  4. Click Add a twitter account
  5. Add your twitter account and allow Feedburner to access your twitter.
  6. You have connected twitter with Feedburner.

2) Automating Link Sharing On Twitter, Facebook and RSS using Networked Blog

Few days a ago I came to know about a Facebook application – Networked Blog. Where you can register your blog, and setup a page like fans page. Here visitors can vote, follow, comment and take part in discussions.

Now register your blog, with networked blog. After registering go to your networked blog page, now click on “Syndication” option that is found under your site’s thumbail. In syndication window you can see options to add a twitter account and a facebook target, using those options add your twitter account and your facebook fans page or profile or group.

So whenever your site’s RSS is updated, networked blogs will detect them and publish the new post’s URL in networked blogs page, twitter, and facebook target.

3) Automating Link Sharing On Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr using Tumblr and Feed Burner

Here you have to connect your tumblr account with your site’s feed.

To do that, go to your tumblr dashboard, click on customize. Now select “Service” from top menu and add your feedburner account. So that tumblr will also start to read the RSS, for changes to publish.

Tumblr also allows you to link twitter and facebook. So, this is the best way to automate link sharing because it allows you to publish new posts on tumble, facebook and also on twitter automatically.
