The Internet is a valuable source of information for someone who has a thirst for it. One might say that the volume of information available on a single topic can be quite overwhelming when you search the Internet.
If you have impeccable search engine utilization skills then you can find almost any topic with ease and an abundance of resourceful information. Unfortunately the benefits of all this overwhelming information end at an impasse, because as much as there is information available to anyone who seeks it the amount of falsehood printed on the web is just as abundant.
The problem on the internet is to know what is legitimate and what is false.
For someone who is experienced at separating the garbage from the gems, it’s easy to sort through the rubble and find the right information that you are looking for. Unfortunately for the rest of the world who may not have as extensive information in figuring out what is legitimate and what is false, they can end up becoming vulnerable to propaganda and chose the wrong path which may lead to false promises and claims from “experts in the field”.
This can be quite destructive on a person’s online business prospects or if one is simply seeking the most ideal weight loss program that they can use to jumpstart their regimen. From a standpoint of experience in studying fitness articles and search engine optimization extensively, there are things that I would like to emphasize centering on 5 anomalies that must be evaded so that you don’t end up becoming frustrated and scammed.
1. Do Not Believe The “Huge Results With Minimal Effort” Propaganda
It makes absolutely no sense that you would turn a profit if you don’t put in the work necessary or learn how to leverage on certain tools. If this was true for SEO, then everyone would be at the top of Google for their main keyword. For example, when it comes to search engine traffic, most sites that you see on top of the results genuinely put in an effort to stay on the top.
2. Question “Success Testimonials”
The most common method of deceiving unsuspecting investors or people struggling with weight loss is by giving them a false testimonial about how a product has worked miraculously. You can read hundreds of these “success stories” online and if you don’t pay attention to the details you will end up believing that someone can truly lose 20 lbs. in a week safely.
Not all testimonials are false. There are reliable companies in the weightloss industry, like BistroMD and Diet to Go, that use real-life, down-to-earth testimonies of people who achieved their weight loss goals. You know if a testimonial is real when the person and facts appear realistic.
If an actor-like person appears on your screen telling you how they tried a new weight loss formula and dropped 100 pounds in a month, you know this cannot be real. Likewise, in the SEO business, when you see a video of a person claiming that they tried a new traffic method that put $100,000 in their bank in a week you have to question it. If this “secret” method is making them so rich, why are they so willing to give it to you so cheap?
3. Avoid Fly By Night Results
A weight loss program that gives you the promise of instantaneous results is generally untrue, and as someone who has attempted to diet you should realize that these campaigns are meant to trick and extort. The same can be said when it comes to SEO processes that promise your site top tier search rankings in mere weeks.
4. Do Not Believe Stories About “A Secret Methods
There are so many “gurus” on the internet that promise the sharing of their “secret” and “tried and tested” methods which makes people lose weight in weeks or get websites to the top of search rankings without any thought or organization. Rationalize the deceit behind these promises and you will realize that there is no such secret method that works.
5. Nothing Of Great Value Costs Just A Dollar
Have you ever wondered how people with celebrity status maintain their rocking bodies and have never-aging skin? The truth of the matter is that they employ some of the best people around the world to keep them in a youthful state not to mention doctors and fitness trainers working round the clock.
It’s no different when it comes to the top websites who are constantly trying to dominate the keyword game. They spend a fortune on SEO. Do not believe the so called gurus that sell you products for a dollar.

I said a long time ago that the seo industry is full of more snakes than the roofing industry was in the 80s! What you have said above it true but I would also add that there are huge amount of webmasters who make knee jerk reactions to google updates and also a huge amount that use the updates as a way of selling their services with products named things like “the panda killer” – its in a pretty bad state and the “good” agencies cost a fortune.
The best bet is to do nothing knee jerk and step back and apply common sense to everything you read and everyone who approaches you.
Quality of Efforts is always equal to the quality of results obtained.
You are right that one cannot expect huge results with minimal efforts.
There is no two ways about it.you must work if you must succeed to be ranked in search engine.gurus will never uncover most of their secreets,so you just have to practice on your own to make the difference.nice one.
SEO plays an important role in increasing a site’s ability it Google Search results! Nice post Mikec!
